A lot of platforms leave you no choice but to hand over your personal phone number just to answer a quick question about a job. Jobiteer keeps that conversation in the app instead, so you're not giving out your number before you've even decided if the job is worth pursuing.
The whole conversation stays in-app
Once you unlock a job, messaging with the homeowner happens directly inside Jobiteer. You can ask questions, clarify scope, and go back and forth without ever needing to text or call from your personal number.
Photos help clear up the details
On the web app, you can attach photos directly in the conversation, useful for confirming exactly what you're looking at before you show up in person. On mobile, you can already view any photos shared in a conversation, and the ability to send photos from the mobile app is still being built out, so for now sending an attachment is a web feature specifically.
Why this matters even before you're hired
You shouldn't have to expose your personal contact info just to have an early conversation about a job that might not even go anywhere. Keeping messaging in-app means that early back and forth stays low risk, whether it turns into a hire or not.
It also keeps a record
Because the conversation lives in the app instead of scattered texts, there's an actual record of what was discussed. That's useful if there's ever a question later about what was agreed to, and it's also what the platform's other protections, like the refund for a homeowner who goes silent, are able to reference.
The bottom line
You can have a real conversation about a job, including sharing reference photos where that's available, without treating your personal phone number as the price of admission.
