- Jobiteer shows what homeowners near you actually paid for the same kind of job, before you hire.
- Estimates, booking, arrival updates and itemized invoices all happen in the app. Nextdoor leaves those to you.

Asking for help without broadcasting it
On Nextdoor, a request for help is a post in your neighborhood feed. Businesses that pay for Nextdoor's Opportunity Alerts get notified about matching posts and can answer by direct message or by commenting publicly on your post, and Nextdoor doesn't limit how many respond.
On Jobiteer you post the job once, with the trade, what needs doing and a few photos. Pros who want it message you in a private chat. Your phone number and email are never shown to them, so posting a job doesn't put your number out there.
Know what the job should cost
Neighbors can tell you who they liked, but rarely what they paid. When you post on Jobiteer, you see what homeowners near you paid for the same kind of job, and your budget is suggested from those numbers. That makes comparing quotes simple.
The whole job, in one place
Nextdoor connects you with a name, and then it's phone calls, texts and paper estimates. Jobiteer keeps it all together:
- Estimates and itemized invoices with tax, right in the chat
- Book a visit from the pro's real openings, with reminders
- See "On my way" and a verified "Arrived" on the day
- A record of every job, pro and invoice for your home
Choosing who to trust
Nextdoor recommendations come from verified neighbors, and Nextdoor says it can't judge whether a review is true. On Jobiteer, reviews can only come from people who actually hired that pro, and every profile shows the pro's trades, service area and insured, bonded and warranty badges up front.
Fast answers, in a chat that feels familiar
When a pro is on a job or it's after hours, you don't have to wait to hear back. Pros who use Jobi, Jobiteer's AI assistant, have it answer for them: it's always labeled Jobi AI, it answers from the pro's own information, can suggest a time, and lets the pro know right away. If you'd rather wait for the pro, you can turn it off for your chat anytime.
- React with an emoji or swipe to reply, like the messaging apps you already use
- Share photos, get estimates and invoices, and book, all in the same thread
- When you hire, you can choose to share your phone and email with that pro, so estimates and invoices fill in for you
- Block anyone at any time, and report anything that doesn't feel right
How to get started
- Post your job for free. Pick the trade and what needs doing, add a few photos. It takes a couple of minutes.
- See what it should cost. Jobiteer shows what homeowners near you paid for the same kind of job.
- Chat with the pros who want it. Compare their reviews and credentials, then book a time that works, all in the app.
Questions people ask
Is Jobiteer free like Nextdoor?
Yes. Jobiteer is free for homeowners, and adds nothing to your pro's price.
Will my neighbors see my job?
Your job post shows the work and your city so local pros can find it. You talk with pros in a private chat, and your phone number and email are never shown to them unless you share them.
Can I still ask neighbors for recommendations?
Of course. Many people ask around on Nextdoor and then use Jobiteer to compare pros, get estimates and book the job.
How do I pay?
You pay your pro directly, and they send you an itemized invoice in the app so you have a record.
