The short version
- Jobiteer is free for homeowners. TaskRabbit adds a Service Fee and a Trust & Support Fee on top of every Tasker's rate.
- Post once and hear from pros who want your job, then chat with them before you decide. On TaskRabbit you can't message a Tasker until you book.
- See what homeowners near you actually paid for the same kind of job before you hire.
- Built for real trades, with insurance, bonding and warranty badges and reviews from real hires on every profile.
For home projects where the right pro and a fair price matter, Jobiteer is the easier way to hire.

What you pay
TaskRabbit charges every client a Service Fee on top of the Tasker's hourly rate, plus a separate Trust & Support Fee on the receipt, and taxes may apply. Cancel within 24 hours of the task, and TaskRabbit's policy allows a fee of up to one hour of the Tasker's rate plus platform fees.
Jobiteer costs homeowners nothing. Posting a job, chatting with pros, booking, getting estimates and invoices, and leaving reviews are all free, and Jobiteer adds nothing to the price your pro charges. You pay your pro directly.
Know what it should cost before you hire
An hourly rate doesn't tell you what a whole project will cost. When you post a job on Jobiteer, you see what homeowners near you actually paid for the same kind of job, and your budget is suggested from those same numbers. That makes it easy to spot a fair quote, and pros see a realistic budget too.
Let the right pros come to you
On TaskRabbit you choose one Tasker from a list, and for privacy reasons you can't contact them until after you book. Jobiteer works the other way: you describe the job once, with photos, and local pros who want it reach out. You can chat with each of them, ask questions and compare, all before you commit to anyone. Want quotes from several pros at once? Use "Get Multiple Quotes" in the pro directory.
Your phone number stays private either way. On Jobiteer, pros reach you in the app, and your phone number and email are never shown to them unless you share them.
Made for real home projects
TaskRabbit's most popular categories are furniture assembly, moving help, mounting and general handyman work, and its terms say it doesn't verify licenses: clients are responsible for confirming them. For plumbing, electrical, roofing and other trade work, you want to know who you're hiring.
Every Jobiteer contractor profile shows their trades, service area, and their insured, bonded and warranty badges up front. Reviews can only come from people who actually hired them, so they're real. When the work is done, you get an itemized invoice with tax right in the chat, and a record of every job for your home.
Easy on the day of the job
Book a time from the pro's real openings, add it to your calendar, and get reminders. On the day, you'll see "On my way" when your pro heads over and a verified "Arrived" when they reach your address.
Fast answers, in a chat that feels familiar
When a pro is on a job or it's after hours, you don't have to wait to hear back. Pros who use Jobi, Jobiteer's AI assistant, have it answer for them: it's always labeled Jobi AI, it answers from the pro's own information, can suggest a time, and lets the pro know right away. If you'd rather wait for the pro, you can turn it off for your chat anytime.
- React with an emoji or swipe to reply, like the messaging apps you already use
- Share photos, get estimates and invoices, and book, all in the same thread
- When you hire, you can choose to share your phone and email with that pro, so estimates and invoices fill in for you
- Block anyone at any time, and report anything that doesn't feel right
