The short version
- Yelp Ads start at $150 a month and are priced per click in an automated auction, and a quote request counts as a click. On Jobiteer you pay only for the jobs you choose, with the cost shown first.
- Yelp has no refund when a customer goes quiet. On Jobiteer, if a homeowner never replies to you, your credits come back.
- Yelp's $180-a-month Upgrade Package includes removing competitor ads from your page. Jobiteer profiles never show anyone else's ads.
- Every hired job on Jobiteer leads to a review prompt for both sides. Yelp asks businesses not to request reviews at all.
- With the Jobi plan, every chat shows where the homeowner stands: their stage, their mood, what matters most to them and your best next move.
If you want to pay for real jobs instead of clicks, and own your reviews, Jobiteer is the better fit.

Pay for jobs, not clicks
A Yelp Business Page is free. To get in front of more customers, Yelp sells Ads starting at $150 a month, placed in Sponsored Results and on competitors' pages. You're charged per click at a price set by an automated auction that changes with demand, and Yelp's terms count requesting a quote as a click. You set a monthly budget, but you don't choose which clicks you pay for. Under its advertising terms, the remedy for invalid clicks is replacement advertising rather than cash.
Jobiteer has no auction and no clicks. Homeowners post real jobs with the trade, the item, photos and often a budget. You see each one, the exact cost to unlock it and how many pros are already talking with that homeowner, then decide. Free credits refresh every month, and if a homeowner never replies to you, your credits come back once the job closes.
A profile that's only about you
On Yelp, Sponsored Results can appear on your business page, and removing competitor ads from it is one of the features in the $180-a-month Upgrade Package. On Jobiteer, your profile never shows another pro's ads, and nobody can pay to rank above you in the pro directory: it's ordered by things like ratings and reviews.
Your profile puts your trades, service areas and insured, bonded and warranty badges right at the top, along with reviews from the people who hired you.
Reviews you're allowed to ask for
Yelp's guidance tells businesses not to ask anyone for reviews, and its recommendation software may hide reviews it thinks were requested. On Jobiteer, reviews are part of every hired job: when the work is done, both you and the homeowner are asked to rate each other. Neither sees the other's review until both are in, so they're honest, and you can reply publicly to every one.
From request to paid, in one place
Yelp's inbox lets you answer a quote request with an estimate or a question and share a booking link. Jobiteer keeps going after the first reply:
- Estimates and itemized invoices with tax, from your own price book
- Booking from your real availability, with reminders
- "On my way" and a verified "I've arrived"
- Dashboards showing what every lead earned, and team accounts for your crew
Never leave a homeowner waiting
Jobi, Jobiteer's optional AI assistant, replies to homeowners in your chats when you're busy, offers open times from your real calendar, answers from your price book when you allow it, and follows up when a homeowner goes quiet. It can also find and unlock new jobs that match your rules, starting in a practice mode that spends nothing.
Know where every customer stands
Yelp uses AI to summarize the details of a quote request and to grade and coach your own replies, and Yelp Receptionist answers calls from $99 a month. Jobi reads the customer: how close they are to hiring, how they feel, and what will win them over.
At the top of every chat, Jobi gives you its read on the homeowner:
- Stage: just looking, comparing options, ready to book, booked, or done. Booked and done come from the real booking, not a guess
- Mood, with the homeowner's own words that show it
- What matters most: price, speed, quality, trust, convenience or communication
- Your next move: one honest, specific suggestion for your next message
It refreshes a minute or so after the homeowner writes, in every chat, including the ones you're answering yourself. Jobi's own replies follow it too: calm and reassuring with someone stressed, leading with price for someone comparing quotes. Only you ever see it.
Getting started takes about 10 minutes
- Create your free account. Choose "I'm a contractor" when you sign up. No card needed.
- Add your trades and service areas. Plus your insurance, bonding and warranty badges, so homeowners see them up front.
- Save a search for the jobs you want. You'll get an alert the moment a matching job is posted near you.
- Keep Yelp if you like. Nothing stops you from using both while you see where your best jobs come from. Your Jobiteer dashboard shows exactly what each lead earned.
Questions people ask
What does Jobi tell me about a customer?
With the Jobi plan, every chat shows Jobi's read on the homeowner: where they are in deciding (just looking, comparing, ready to book, booked or done), their mood with the words from the chat that show it, what matters most to them, and a suggested next move. Only you see it, and it never labels who someone is, only how the conversation reads.
Should I delete my Yelp page?
No need. A free Yelp page can still help people find your reviews. Jobiteer adds real job posts you choose, and the tools to run them.
Is there a monthly minimum on Jobiteer?
No. No subscription is required and there's no budget to set. You pay only when you unlock a job. The Jobi AI assistant is an optional monthly plan.
Can other pros advertise on my Jobiteer profile?
No. Jobiteer profiles don't show ads, and pros can't pay to rank higher in the directory.
Can I ask customers for reviews?
You don't have to. After every hired job, both sides are asked to leave a review automatically.
